AT&T adds new sites in Berks County

AT&T  said the upgrades will also benefit public safety and first responders on FirstNet — a public safety dedicated communications platform.

PRESS RELEASE

AT&T says it recently added new cells sites to enhance the area’s 4G LTE coverage. In a press release, AT&T says “our investment will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices.”

One site will boost coverage for customers in Lyons, Dryville, New Jerusalem, and connecting roads. A second site will provide additional coverage to Lenhartsville, along Interstate 78 in the area, and along Route 143 both north and south of I-78.

“We want our customers to have a great experience,” said David Kerr, president, AT&T Pennsylvania, in a statement. “With 4G LTE service, they’ll be able to experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.”

AT&T  said the upgrades will also benefit public safety and first responders on FirstNet — a public safety dedicated communications platform.

FirstNet is built with AT&T in a public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority. It’s designed to help first responders in Pennsylvania and across the country connect to the critical information they need so they can keep themselves and the communities they serve safer.
