FirstNet Authority board passes $1.2 billion budget for FY 2027

FirstNet Authority board members unanimously approved a $1.2 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year, including almost $1.1 billion earmarked for investments to enhance the coverage and capabilities of the nationwide public-safety broadband network (NPSBN).

FirstNet Authority CEO and Executive Director Mike Cannon said the upcoming budget for fiscal year 2027 should let the organization expand coverage of the NPSBN for public-safety subscribers.
