Las Vegas, NV – The Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA) and Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials, Intl. (APCO) held a joint communications event March 18-19, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The Technology Sessions – 4.9 GHz and Artificial Intelligence (AI) featured several panel discussions highlighting the innovations and evolutions 4.9 GHz and AI have introduced into public safety communications.
This inaugural event included insight and expertise from public safety subject matter experts, end users, and technology innovators as they addressed the importance of 4.9 GHz and how the integration of AI benefits public safety from the use of dedicated public safety spectrum. “It was an excellent opportunity to connect with other public safety leaders and explore how both 4.9 GHz and AI are changing the landscape of public safety,” said Chief Richard Carrizzo, Southern Platte Fire Protection District, Kansas City, MO. “APCO and PSBTA brought together a great host of panelists. There was a lot of engaging and valuable discussions over the course of the two days.”
