Join us Wednesday, July 14, 2021 9:30 PT | 10:30 MT | 11:30 CT | 12:30 EDT for an informative webinar to learn what you need to know and what you need to do to adopt and deploy FirstNet, as well as how to pursue stimulus/grant funds supporting broadband expansion and adoption. We have invited special guests from FirstNet Built with AT&T to discuss solutions available to Tribal Nations. Then, join our Program Director for Grants Assistance to gain a deeper understanding of how the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 and the NTIA Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program are allocated and how they may be used to support these endeavors.
It is my pleasure to announce the Public Safety Broadband Technology Association’s FirstNet Congressional Briefing and working lunch. There have been many exciting changes in public safety communication capabilities since the 9/11 Commission recommended a dedicated network for first responders and the subsequent inception of FirstNet by Congress in 2012. We look forward to showing you how far we’ve come, where we are today, and what the future looks like with FirstNet, America’s Public Safety Network.
Our program will be divided up into 3 distinct sessions, with plenty of time to speak to public safety professionals in between. Attendees are welcome to stay for the entire program, or pop in for a topic of interest. Box lunches will be available throughout the program.

In this session, you will:
• Check out some of the FirstNet dedicated deployable assets usedto support disasters

• Learn about the public-private partnership between the FirstNetAuthority and AT&T – and how this helps your agency
Did you know that most public safety projects are funded through federal funding? There is a vast amount of federal funds that exist, but first, you need to know what agencies granting cycles are, when those cycles will open, the length of period of performance, required cost/share match (if any), how to incorporate all the vital elements into your grant application, and so much more. Public Sector Grants will help educate you on grants commonly used for public safety projects, such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC). You’ll also learn about other granting agencies and affiliated grants such as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ), and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Join our presenter, Kamala Kuhn, Director of Grants Assistance for PS Grants, as she reviews important grant elements, the benefits of a community-based approach to grants, and successful tips to grant writing.
Who should attend this webinar? If you are a member of public safety, government, educational staff, or healthcare at the local, county, regional, state, federal, or tribal level, then this webinar is for you.
