FirstNet Association Holds First Regional Event

The FirstNet Association (FNA) has announced their first event scheduled for June 29, 2018 in Minneapolis Minnesota.

The event will be held at the Marriott Minneapolis West, 9960 Wayzata Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55426. It is free to members and $95.00 for non-members, however, a 1 year membership is included in the cost.

We look forward to our inaugural event, and for the opportunity to educate today’s first responders in and around Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and the Dakotas about this unique public-private partnership that will drive growth and innovation in the public safety communications space,” said Al Gillespie, President of FNA.

The event will cover many topics including a “101” on the First Responder Network Authority, FirstNet Built with AT&T and the relationship between the two entities. “We are aware many first line first responders have questions as to the difference between these two groups and how one compliments the other” offered Ray Flynn, FNA Vice President. Another session will explain LMR to LTE integration, another widely discussed and debated topic in public safety circles.

FirstNet Association officials are quick to add that this is the first of a number of events they have planned for the remainder of the year. Future locations and dates have not yet been announced, however, they will be listed on the FirstNet Association website as well as on allthingsfirst.com.
